(= H. patulum ‘Hidcote’)
Habit: Round habit with many shoots but few branches, small shrub, 0.7-1.2 (1.5) m tall and wide; slow or medium to fast-growing after cutting.
Flowers: Shimmering golden yellow bowl flowers, 5-7 cm wide, from the end of June to October; long flowering time, decorative shrub.
Leaves: Semi-evergreen, rarely evergreen; ovoid, dull to dark green.
Demands: Sunny to shady; likes heat; tolerates urban pollution, moderately frost hardy. On all well drained substrates.
Note: Cut back to two buds to further regeneration with plentiful flowers.
